You are purchasing 5 Capsicum annuum seeds**.

This is a beautiful purple plant. From the leaves to the starting fruit will be a dark opal color. Once the seeds are mature they will turn a deep red color which lets you know they are ready for harvesting. Though this herb is considered ornamental it is still edible and rather hot. The seed pods are dense with seeds so you can regrow them every year.

The plant will come back each year as long as you winter the plant correctly outside or bring it in during freezing temps. Here in Texas we have 1 day "winters" aka cold fronts so most of the plants that require to be brought in other places are ok to be left outside. However, to be on the safe side no matter your location always bring your prized plants indoors or cover them accordingly.

GERMINATION:

Capsicum annuum seeds are best planted indoors 8-10 weeks before the final frost. The pot with the seedlings should be placed in a sunny location where the temperature is consistently between 70F and 80F. Capsicum annuum seeds will not germinate if the plants are consistently exposed to temperatures below 55F.

Capsicum, also known as red pepper or chili pepper, is an herb. The fruit of the capsicum plant is used to make medicine. Capsicum is used for various problems with digestion including upset stomach, intestinal gas, stomach pain, diarrhea, and cramps.
