Myrtillocactus geometrizans, aka Blue candle cactus, or the bilberry cactus grows to be a large shrubby cactus growing to 4–5 meters tall. The flowers are creamy white to yellow blooms, 2–2.5 cm diameter which attract beneficial pollinators to your garden. When pollinated they produce a fruit edible dark purple berry.

The edible berries have a sweet, tart flavor that's similar to blueberries. The berries can be eaten fresh or dried like cranberries or raisins. Some say the berries taste similar to plums with another fruity influence.
